Policies for Online Classes
Virginia Pre-Licensing

Students have one year from the time of enrollment online to complete the course.

Students are required to take a school proctored final exam before a certificate of completion is issued. To arrange for the proctored final exam, contact the school. The school will arrange for the student to go to one of the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage sales offices to take the proctored final exam. A minimum score of 75% is required on both the general and law portion of the final exam.

The student is required to bring to the final exam a notarized affidavit, a completed Electronic Eligibility Program Information form, calculator and a pen or pencil.

If the student does not complete or pass the final exam, a re-test can be scheduled no sooner than the next business day. Online students are eligible to take a proctored final exam no more than two times (original scheduled exam + one re-test). If the student fails the final exam both times, the student will be required to re-enroll in the online course (at the student’s expense).

Upon successfully completing the pre-licensing requirements, the school will issue a Certificate of Completion to the student. The student is required to provide PSI Exams a copy of the Certificate of Completion in order to sit for the state licensing exam.

Continuing Education Online

A continuing education online student has one year to complete each of the continuing education classes purchased from the time of online enrollment. Each online continuing education class requires the student to take a quiz at the end. The pass rate for the each quiz is 70%. The online continuing education student may take the class quiz no more than two times before re-enrollment in the continuing education class is required. Re-enrollment is at the student’s expense.

The continuing education online student is required to submit a notarized affidavit (Maryland Affidavit) (Virginia Affidavit) to the school at the end of the online continuing education class. Continuing education credits cannot be issued until the notarized affidavit is received by the school. The student has up to 30-days to submit the notarized affidavit. If the notarized affidavit is not submitted within the 30-day time frame, the student may be required to pay an administrative fee of $25 per continuing education certificate to cover the cost of researching records for verification and issuance of completion.
